Meet Our Students

Mai Lam

Mai Lam is a former h&h Cert III Individual Support Aged Care student. Here’s what she had to say about her study experience and life after graduation:

I was absolutely happy with my experience throughout the Aged Care course, My trainer Chris was an inspiring trainer and the entire h&h team was so supportive and helpful.

I learned so much and felt confident looking for a job and actually found one with a home care company in Smithfield.

I’d definitely undertake further study with h&h and I highly recommended the college for anyone who wants to study and achieve their goals.

Mineva Girgis

I find my teacher Simmy to be so supportive. It has been hard at times with English being my second language and I have only been here for six months, but Simmy has been so very helpful with translation and teaching me the language. She listens to me and she really helps me. I love that we work as a group and we have really become such great friends in such a short space of time.

I want to be able to care for all people who are vulnerable, but especially the disabled, given my personal background. I want to help with aged and disabled people in Sydney West Multicultural Care and Disability in Blacktown.

Shweta Chodha

Former student Shweta Chodha completed a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) in September 2015. Here is what she had to say about her experience with us.

I found the training to be inclusive and precise and my trainer highly skilled and experienced. My course highlighted the important sections of the Disability Sector and my trainer made the understanding of the various subjects interesting and easy.

Through my studies and work placement, I was offered the opportunity for employment what with I think is one of the best Disability Services Providers around and from here, there is no going back!

The opportunities and success given to me by studying with h&h means that I continue to learn and grow within the Disability Sector, upgrading my skills as I thrive from learning.

Vita Artese

Vita Artese completed her Cert III Individual Support (Disability with h&h and now has a rewarding career as a Disability Support Worker. Here, she shares her story.

I was very lucky to have had the Trainer, Bree Lord as my teacher, trainer and mentor. Her knowledge of the Disability Sector is extraordinary. Bree took the time to explain everything so well, using extra video’s, research notes and PowerPoint presentations for each topic that connected the dots for my assessment tasks.

Her passion and understanding of both the topics and the industry is incredible and it was so helpful for me in completing the work book questions and assessments. We also worked on many extra topics that were not included in the workbooks, but added extras that we would workshop and carry out practical hands on tasks, which was so helpful.

The opportunities and success given to me by studying with h&h means that I continue to learn and grow within the Disability Sector, upgrading my skills as I thrive from learning.

Nirja Bhatt

I studied Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care in 2017. As it was my first-time studying in Australia, I was very nervous. However, my teachers provided the best knowledge and support as they guided me through my studies.

Today I am able to run my Family Day Care centre very smoothly and confidently and have done so for two years.
