Childcare Training

An exciting career in Childcare is what a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care can offer you. Engaging with children aged 0-6, you will learn how to educate, prepare healthy food, work with diverse cultures and provide quality care to the next generation of Australians. Starting a career in childcare, one of Australia’s fast growing industries, is as simple as enrolling in our Childcare course with h&h Accredited Training.

Learn all aspects of education and care during your course and put into practice during your onsite work placement at one of our partnering early learning centres.

This certificate can lead to roles such as:

  • Early Childhood Co-Educator
  • Assistant Educator
  • Early Childhood Assistant
  • Family Day Care Educator
  • Playgroup Supervisor

h&h offer these courses through classroom, distance (home-based with access to one-on-one trainer support at the college), traineeship (work-based training) and Online (digital learning). You have up to 12 months to complete this course (traineeship timeframes vary, see our staff).

Read our student testimonials to see why h&h is the preferred college to study with.

Industry fact – “In 2017, formal or informal early childhood education and care was a usual form of care for 49% (or 2.0 million) of children aged 0-12.” (1) This trend has continued to increase

Work placement

h&h arranges the work placements for students currently studying Childcare courses at Certificate III or Diploma level. We have long standing relationships with several childcare centres and facilities, some even being run by previous h&h students, in Sydney which makes our students job ready and in high demand for employment.  These facilities are in areas close to public transport and have access to onsite parking.

Placements are generally full-time (160 hours in total) and are completed on weekdays, which not only allows students an opportunity to develop their learnt skills but an experience that could lead to gaining employment.

Working With Children Check (WWCC)

The Working With Children Check (WWCC) is a requirement for anyone who works or volunteers in child-related work in NSW.

First Aid training

As part of your qualification, you will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of applying first aid in a variety of situations. This training consists of theory and practical components. The hands on delivery is one of the most popular parts of this course. First aid training is not only beneficial in childcare, but in everyday activities.

Our staff will arrange your first aid training during your course to equip you for work placement.
