This qualification is suitable for those students already working in the disability industry who want to take the next step in their career. This course will broaden the knowledge you already have and prepare you for roles where you may be managing or supervising others. The course teaches factual, technical and procedural knowledge of the concepts and practices required to gain a Certificate IV in Disability.
This qualification reflects the role of workers employed in the community and/or have previously studied the entry requirements for this qualification. Within this role employees provide person-centred support required to persons with a disability or ageing or some other reason. It can qualify you for roles such as disability officer, residential care worker, senior personal care assistant, behavioural support officer, social trainer and supervisor.
