A Message from Kate Lovett, h&h Accredited Training General Manager Regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19)
To all our valued staff and students at h&h Accredited training, firstly let me say that your health, wellbeing and safety are our priority here at our college. We appreciate the ongoing community concern about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and it is with this in mind, together with Government precautions, that we have decided to conduct all courses on a distance basis effective immediately.
I also want to let you know what precautions and actions the entire h&h team and community is taking to prioritise your health and wellbeing, whilst managing our college and your studies, ensuring you are up to date in your course requirements at every stage.
What Does The Coronavirus Mean to You and Your Studies?
You will still be able to study as usual and you won’t lose time or credit in your course. It simply means that from March 18, 2020 until April 6, you will be asked to study from home. No students will be able to come into the college to attend classes. This will be reviewed in an ongoing manner and we will continue to keep you updated via our regular newsletter. Please sign up to it now, if you haven’t already.
h&h will provide you with all you need in order to meet your mandatory course requirements. You will also be able to contact us at any time should you have any questions or require any support throughout your at home studies. You can email, speak to your trainer on the phone, or message us via our Facebook Page. Our response times may be slightly longer than usual, due to the current situation however we will endeavour to get back to you as quickly as we can. We appreciate your patience during this time.
Face to Face Meetings
h&h will hold face-to-face meetings with students on a case-by-case basis. These will be strictly monitored and only be available in cases where there are no other options.
Coronavirus Cleaning and hygiene
At all times at h&h, we apply the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene across our campus. We have increased the routine cleaning of frequently touched hard surfaces and will continue to do so, even while students are undergoing their studies from home. We also expect anyone who enters the h&h buildings to practice the same level of exceptional sanitisation and hygiene.
We remind all staff and students to practice regular hand washing, use hand sanitiser and cover sneezes or coughs with your arm, not your hands. Hand sanitisers are available at our front desk, if you happen to be in our building.
If you have any flu-like symptoms at all, you should seek your doctor’s advice. If you have returned from overseas effective 16 March 2020, you are required to self-isolate.
Following the advice of health authorities regarding Coronavirus
When it comes to the health and wellbeing of our students, staff and community, we adhere to the advice of the Australian and New Zealand health authorities to the letter.
We will continue to share regular updates with you to ensure you are aware of the latest advice and guidance on what to do if you have been in close contact with someone who has a confirmed case of COVID-19.
Focused on delivering your best study experience
While the h&h campus is currently closed for classroom training, we will continue to deliver the best training for you in your chosen course. Your qualifications will not suffer as a result of the Coronavirus situation.
We are constantly working with NSW Health to ensure we address the necessary wellbeing precautions whilst supporting our community of staff and students.
Confidence when you visit
Members of the h&h community should be confident to go about their day-to-day activities and when the time is right, feel excited to come back to campus at h&h in Granville.
As circumstances continue to develop, we will update you to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of our students, staff and community. As always, you are our highest priority.
Thank you for your continued support.
