Classroom activities play a huge role in many of the courses here at h&h Accredited Training. These are known as the practical side of your study, and complement the theory side of your course beautifully. Whether you’re studying Childcare, Aged Care, Disability Care and/or Community Services, you need to show strong performance skills. You can do this by participating in practical classroom activities which is part of your assessment.
Classroom Activities For Your Course
If you are undergoing childcare, you may find these involve preparing, cooking and presenting meals – and eating the feast afterwards! Part of the requirements of your course will be to prepare nutritious, hygienic meals for the person in your care. This will be according to government guidelines on daily nutritional requirements. Childcare students will have times where they undergo practical classes that involve teaching children to draw, paint and cut out shapes.
Administering Medications and Lifting People
If your course is at Certificate IV in Ageing Support, your classroom activity may involve practical lessons in how to monitor and administer medications.
If you are undergoing aged or disability care courses, in addition to the course requirements, you may also learn how to lift and move people. This is likely to happen during the course and also during the mandatory work placement with one of our amazing partners, like Eurella Community Services, or Saint Sergius Aged Care.
So you see, it’s not all serious, head in a text book stuff here at our college. We put what you have learnt into practice in the classroom and also during the mandatory work placement. There are some really fun elements to every course we offer. We strive to ensure every aspect of your experience with us is enjoyable and exciting. However, If you ever feel lost, or you are struggling in any area of your studies, please reach out. We have many ways to support you throughout your studies and beyond. We are always here to help.
